Eddie's Tribute Fund

Welcome to our Dad's Tribute Fund. We have created this page to help raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) who provided invaluable support, not only for Dad but also for our family. Please consider making an online donation or, if you prefer, you can help me raise money for this Tribute Fund by creating an online sponsorship page to mark a special event or occasion. Dad was a very special man and although we have many memories of him, one particular story says a lot about him. His parish priest asked him if he ever wondered why he'd been "chosen" to develop motor neurone disease. Dad's reply? "Why not me?" Although there were times when Dad's fight with motor neurone disease were hard, he never lost his sense of humour and even in the most undignified moments, he almost always found a laugh or chuckle from somewhere. I used to think that heroes had to storm a machine-gun nest, climb Everest or win the World Cup. But there are other kinds of hero too, and Dad is ours. We have set up this fund in appreciation of the MNDA whose support and provision of equipment made dealing with the day-to-day issues so much less difficult. The MNDA really do make a huge difference and the equipment they provided came to us really quickly which was fantastic. To say thank you, we want to raise money to buy equipment for other families dealing with MND so they too, can get the right equipment at the right time. Simply choose one of the links above to see what you can do. Please sign the guest book and tell other people about this service. All the money raised on these pages will be marked as donations made via our Tribute Fund when it reaches the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Thanks for visiting the site and please make a donation before you go – you'll be making a real difference to someone’s life. Chris Green
